TCPA grants annual Women of Excellence Award

The Tennessee Pest Control Association (TCPA) recently recognized Jill Brindle, operations manager at Enviroguard Pest Solutions, with “The TCPA Woman of Excellence Award.”

The award was presented to Brindle at the 2023 TPCA Winter Conference in Nashville, Tenn., on Feb. 28.

The Woman of Excellence Award was established in 2022 by the Tennessee Chapter of the Professional Women in Pest Management (PWIPM).  The TPCA Chapter of PWIPM was established in 2021 under the National Pest Management Association’s (NPMA’s) PWIPM umbrella. The Tennessee PWIPM group describes themselves as being “passionate about gathering women throughout the state together for learning, networking, and service.”

Brindle commented on receiving the award, “I am incredibly honored and grateful for this award. It has been a journey going from an intern in the athletic department of a local community college to the operations manager for a successful pest control company. Never would I have thought that bugs would end up being my passion. I thoroughly enjoy the identification, biology, and the satisfaction of resolving pest issues for our wonderful customers at Enviroguard Pest Solutions. I want to personally thank Erin Richardson with All American Pest for reaching out to me at the TPCA Winter Conference in 2021, asking me to help start the Tennessee chapter for Professional Women in Pest Management. She motivated and inspired me to always strive for excellence and be a presence as a woman in this male dominated industry. I’d also like to thank my boss, Lee Tubbs. He is the most generous, the most patient, and the most all-around good human soul that a person could have as a boss. He has taught me more in my seven years with the company than I could have ever learned at college. I am incredibly blessed for his leadership and guidance he has bestowed upon me.”
