FMC to host 1st Friday webinar in June

FMC will host its next First Friday webinar on June 2 at 10:30 a.m. Eastern titled “Treatment Tactics for Termites.”

The webinar, which will offer a one-hour continuing education unit (CEU) for selected states for True Champion members, will focus on ways to be successful in termite management. By understanding the biology and behavior of termites in your geographical area, as well as common construction methods termites exploit to gain access to the cellulose materials in the structure, discover best practices at managing these pests. Inspection tools and methods for proper termite inspections will also be discussed.

Christian Wilcox, ACE, PHE, is the technical director for McCauley Services operating out of Central Arkansas and servicing locations in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. He will be the speaker during the webinar.

Wilcox has been in the pest management industry since 1992 and in the role of training/technical director since 1996. He has served as the Chair for the former Copesan Technical Committee, 2022-2023 Chair of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) Technical Committee, member of the Urban Pest Management Technical Committee and Arkansas Pest Management Association Technical Committee, as well as a member of Pi Chi Omega and the Entomological Society of America (ESA).

FMC True Champions have an opportunity to earn CEUs in selected states. At press time, eligible CEU-approved states include Arizona, California (Structural Pest Control Board), Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, West Virginia and Wyoming.
