In April 2022, the PestVets Give Back Program was launched at the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) Legislative Day event, sponsored in conjunction with FMC.
Through the efforts of pest management professionals (PMPs) enrolled in the FMC True Champions program, FMC will be presenting PestVets executives with a check of $21,231 at PestWorld 2023.
“We are proud to support PestVets as part of FMC’s commitment to the pest industry. PMPs responded to support PestVets and help further their mission of helping returning veterans re-acclimate to civilian life through employment in the pest control industry,” Kyle Richards, pest and nursery/greenhouse market manager for FMC Global Specialty Solutions, said in the news release.
Purchases made between Jan. 1, 2023, and Aug. 31, 2023 by PMPs enrolled in FMC True Champions qualified. The high level of participation led to FMC exceeding its first-year donation goal.
“Through its True Champions Give Back program, FMC is strengthening their commitment to social responsibility and giving back to the veteran community,” said Tom Drapeau, ACE, president of Merrimac, Mass.-based Freedom Pest Control and vice chairman of the PestVets Council.
FMC has been a part of PestVets providing financial support and resources since 2015. PestVets provides assistance and awareness to veterans, assisting them in transitioning into successful careers in the pest management industry.

The FMC True Champions program is a source for pest management professionals to access valuable Product Rewards and Product Assurances. It also has a third pillar that supports industry initiatives and associations like NPMA and PestVets. This depth of industry commitment by FMC includes increased investments in these causes and, to support those efforts, annual contributions are set aside based on annual purchases.
