FMC True Champions will host its next First Friday webinar titled “Residential Pest Treatment Tactics” on Nov. 3 at 10:30 a.m. Eastern.
“Residential Pest Treatment Tactics” is a one-hour continuing education units (CEU) webinar with Dr. Mohammed El Damir, BCE, as he shares essential strategies for effective residential pest control. In this condensed presentation, Dr. El Damir will discuss chemical sensitivity concerns, the significance of awareness in prevention and the risks associated with over-the-counter pesticides.
Learn how to integrate residential pest treatment tactics with integrated pest management (IPM) principles, understand the assessment process, and identify pest vulnerable areas (PVAs). Gain insights into common household pests and practical tips for pest prevention. The presentation will conclude with discussions on elimination tactics, documentation, and education strategies for fostering pest prevention awareness among residents.
FMC True Champions have an opportunity to earn CEUs in selected states. Eligible CEU approved states at this time are California (Pest Control Board), Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Utah, Vermont, Washington and West Virginia.
Dr. El Damir is technical and training director at Adam’s Pest Control and is a contributor to Pest Management Professional magazine. He is an entomologist known for his significant contributions to the field of pest management. Holding a doctorate in soil and plant science, specializing in entomology, from the University of Vermont, he has established a solid technical and training foundation in pest management. Dr. El Damir’s career has seen him assume diverse roles, ranging from conducting extensive research to assuming leadership positions within prominent pest management organizations. His influence on the pest control landscape in the Midwest, encompassing sectors such as structural, industrial and public health.
Notably, Dr. El Damir is a prolific author, credited with numerous technical publications that reflect his commitment to education and the dissemination of knowledge. His innovative training programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and pest management protocols have greatly benefited professionals and businesses alike. In addition to his academic and professional achievements, Dr. El Damir has actively contributed to testing new and novel pesticides. His dedicated service and leadership within the Minnesota Pest Management Association and the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) further underscore his stature in the field of pest management.
