NPMA awards industry leaders at PestWorld 2023

The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) recognized industry leaders as part of Thursday’s General Session at PestWorld 2023 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

During its annual awards ceremony, several awards were presented, including the ACE Professional Award (presented by the Entomological Society of America), Emerging Leaders Award, NPMA Gives Award, Committee of the Year Award, Chairperson of the Year Award, Women of Excellence Award and the Pinnacle Award.

Randy McCarty, of ABC Home & Commercial Services, in Lewisville, Texas, received the Entomological Society of America’s ACE Professional Award.

AJ Treleven, of Sprague Pest Solutions, was the recipient of the Emerging Leaders Award. This award recognizes rising stars, who have already made significant contributions to the association and/or to the pest management profession and have demonstrated the potential for leadership and continuing service. The award is sponsored by Rentokil Terminix.

Pest Management Systems, Inc (PMi) of Greensboro, N.C., was awarded the NPMA Gives Award. This award recognizes NPMA member companies that have demonstrated leadership through their dedication and contribution to the good of the community. This award is sponsored by WorkWave.

The Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (IDE) Task Force was awarded Committee of the Year. Joel Nolasco, of NuBorn Pest Control and chair of the Diversity Council, was the recipient of the Committee Chair of the Year Award.

Judy Dold, of Rose Pest Solutions, received the Women of Excellence Award. This award recognizes female pest management professionals who demonstrate outstanding leadership and have made notable contributions to the development and growth of other women in the industry. This award is sponsored by Target Specialty Products.

The Pinnacle Award was presented to Larry and Alfie Treleven, of Sprague Pest Solutions. The Pinnacle Award, NPMA’s most coveted and prestigious accolade, honors an individual who has contributed not only to the success of the association but to the industry as a whole over a lifetime or career.
