
David Poplin
David Poplin, CEO and founder of Murrieta, Calif.-based CDS Services DBA Legion Pest Management, received the President of U.S. Gold Volunteer Service Award from President Joe Biden.
This honor showcases Poplin’s commitment to supporting veterans and the community. Poplin is a U.S. Marine veteran who honorably served.
Legion Pest Management also received a Certificate of Recognition for outstanding and invaluable service to veterans and the community from U.S. Congressman Ken Calvert and Chuck Washington, supervisor of the Riverside County Board of Supervisors.
Legion Pest Management is a service-disabled veteran owned small business pest control company that Poplin founded in 2013. Legion Pest Management provides residential and commercial pest control services to Southern California. CDS Services has a government division offering pest control services to the federal government nationwide.
Poplin asserts his motto “Service with Honor” is more than just words and is a true value and testament of his organization, according to the news release.
“I am honored to receive such high recognition for all the hard work and dedication on behalf of my team under the leadership of our General Manager David Leitao,” Poplin said in the news release.
CDS Services has 12 employees, five of whom are veterans or veteran spouses. CDS Services currently provides pest control services to approximately 12 percent of the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Centers within the U.S.
“We challenge and encourage every business to get involved with their community and especially veteran organizations,” Poplin said.
