Corteva Agriscience has sold the ActiveSense electronic remote monitoring system to a new owner.

When asked by Pest Management Professional (PMP) for further information, representatives from the Indianapolis, Ind.-based manufacturer confirmed the sale and noted the following:

“In line with our strategy to focus and simplify operations, we’ve decided to sell the ActiveSense electronic remote monitoring system to a new owner, effective December 15, 2023. The new owner intends to utilize the ActiveSense technology exclusively in their service offerings. As a result, we will wind down all operations of the ActiveSense system in early 2024. We regularly evaluate our product portfolios to ensure our investments and efforts are focused on products and solutions that align with our core competencies. We’re dedicated to continuing to investigate new technologies and screen new active ingredients and biological products for solutions that will deliver value to pest management professionals (PMPs) and their customers and continue to offer our industry-leading Sentricon system.”

Introduced in 2018 by legacy company Dow AgroSciences, the ActiveSense system enables PMPs to remotely monitor client sites for rodent activity around the clock. With real-time alerts and precise data, PMPs can instantly learn where and when pest activity happens. Technicians can tailor their service visits to increase efficiency. By removing the need to check empty traps, routine tasks are minimized so the technician can focus on higher-value activities, helping to better protect clients and extract additional revenue. Plus, the ActiveSense system works with the equipment most PMPs already have, integrating with most multi-catch traps and rodent bait stations.

At press time, the new owner was not disclosed. PMP will follow this news story as it develops.
