The 88th Annual Purdue University Pest Management Conference kicked off on Monday in West Lafayette, Ind.

At the Purdue Pest Management Conference Awards and Scholarships Banquet, which this year took place at the Shively Club in Purdue’s Ross-Ade Stadium, it was announced that Purdue’s Center for Urban and Industrial Pest Management, in conjunction with the Indiana Pest Management Association, have created a graduate assistantship award named in honor of PMP Hall of Famer Dr. Gary Bennett, BCE, who led the Urban Center for more than three decades until his retirement in 2019.

The inaugural recipient of this award was entomology graduate research assistant Grace Kolb.
