FMC True Champions will host its next First Friday webinar, titled “Integrated Pest Management – History & Applications,” on April 5 at 10:30 a.m. Eastern.

The one-hour event will be presented with real-world examples of how the central tenets of integrated pest management (IPM) apply to pest systems such as German cockroaches and bed bugs in multi-unit housing, peridomestic cockroaches at public school sites, yellowjacket wasps in parks and picnic areas, subterranean termites attacking single-family homes, and more.

Webinar host Dr. Andrew Sutherland, BCE, is the urban IPM advisor for the University of California Cooperative Extension Office. He oversees IPM-related activities for the San Francisco Bay area, serving Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.

Dr. Sutherland serves the professional pest management industry specifically by conducting applied research and education programs to develop and evaluate IPM strategies for key household, structural and industrial arthropod pests.

FMC True Champions have an opportunity to earn continuing education units (CEUs) in selected states. At press time, approved states include Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Kansas, Ohio, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah and Vermont.

Registration for the webinar is now available.
