Target Specialty Products will host its next webinar, titled “Battle of the Bug: Winning Strategies Against Cockroach Resistance,” on April 25 at 1:30 p.m. Eastern.
Dr. Jason Meyers will discuss resistance within cockroaches and other similar insects. Lessons learned from old research and new research will be integrated into overall takeaways. Within this, aversion and resistance will be defined and related to one another and the difficulties that effect management. Strategies for successful outcomes and reductions in callbacks will be discussed and demonstrated at length.
Dr. Meyers has been a technical services representative for BASF Professional and Specialty Solutions since 2009. Prior to that he was a sales representative at BASF for one year. Dr. Meyers graduated from Texas A&M University with his doctorate in urban entomology studying under Dr. Roger Gold, a member of the Pest Management Professional Hall of Fame (Class of 2011). His doctoral work focused on identifying and controlling the invasive tawny crazy ant (Nylanderia fulva). At Texas A&M, he also held positions as a graduate, research and teaching assistant. Dr. Meyers also received a master of science from the University of Arkansas in entomology with graduate work emphasizing insect pathology. He has multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and has provided educational materials and articles through professional magazines. Dr. Meyers has provided many and varied educational and research presentations in the pest control industry for over 15 years.
