Bird Barrier America’s new Solar Stixx helps professionals solve bird and wildlife issues under solar panels. With solar equipment being installed on commercial and residential buildings at such a fast pace, its hard to keep up with the demand for solutions.

Solar Stixx represents a different approach to solar panel exclusion. Rather than install clips first, then long rolls of mesh, Stixx is a ready-to-install unit. It provides adustibility to where you install, whether on Spanish tile roofs or angle applications. The company notes it is faster to install than clip/mesh methods, offering users a greater savings in labor costs.

The system consists of two parts:

  • The ultraviolet light (UV)-stabilized plastic upper unit is fastened to the frame of the solar panel.
  • The polished stainless-steel falling pins slide effortlessly up and down within the plastic housing to perfectly meet flat or irregular shaped roofs, like Spanish tile.

Specifications:

  • Stixx units are 19.7 inches in total length (80 parts per box, 131 feet)
  • The space between the rods is 0.5 inch.
  • Maximum opening protected is 6.5 inches.
  • Minimum opening protected is 3.25 inches.
  • The plastic unit can be snapped along break-lines at every wire.
