It’s a special opportunity to be here in front of you folks talking a little bit about how and what we do as a as a leadership as a black organization making sure that we we stay true to ourselves that we help each other. Understand businesses are businesses one man, two man, 20 trucks, it doesn’t matter you’re still going through the same exact things that we all go through there was times that you look at and you say, “Hey well how am I going to do this?”

I started off selling in California and never thought this is going to work. 30 years later, here I am right. On November 1 I’ll be doing 25 years with Nisus Corp. and three years of president and CEO. I always felt that I had to lead right no matter what, I always felt I had to go ahead and lead. It wasn’t depending on what skin color I was. I trained I did whatever. I didn’t have any blocks for that. I always knew who I was right.

When you talk about leadership and talk about ownership you know exactly who you are no one’s going to tell you who you are and tell you different. You know exactly who you are it’s about the content and everything that you bring to the table after that. Leading people you got to understand everyone has been there and done that you just have to lead and understand that there’s going to be mistakes everyone’s going to have a first day.
