Bird-Shock Flex-Track was the first truly flexible energized bird deterrent, according to Bird Barrier America, and has been used on thousands of buildings worldwide. Featuring a flexible polyvinyl chloride (PVC) base and two braided conductors, Bird-Shock Flex-Track can be glued to any building surface to repel all bird species with a harmless electrical shock to the feet (imagine a nasty static-electrical shock).
The system consists of the track and an energizer, usually solar-powered, that sends the pulse to the track on an intermittent basis. At only 0.25 inches high, Bird-Shock Flex-Track is virtually invisible from below.
- Where to use: Any surface where any bird species loafs or roosts. Low visibility is key — parapets, roof peaks, beams, ledges, windowsills, etc.
- Bird species: All; and all bird pressure levels
- Material: Ultraviolet light (UV)-stabilized PVC and stainless steel, 50-foot rolls, five colors, 5-year warranty. Shorter warranties on the energizers
- Installation: Track glues to surface; electrical connectors allow current to flow from one track to the next
