Cetane announces sale of Pennsylvania client

Cetane Associates, a financial advisory and transaction firm providing expertise to the home services industries, has announced that Viking Pest Control, an Anticimex company of Warren, N.J., has acquired B.J. Riley Pest Control, of York, Pa. The transaction was completed on November 20, 2025.

B.J. Riley Pest Control was founded in 1993 by Robert “B.J.” Riley, who brought over 43 years of pest control experience to the business. The company grew from a one-man operation into a team of technicians. Today, it operates with a trained team, providing reliable residential pest control solutions to the community.

Riley commented in a news release, “I’m really happy with how everything turned out. Cetane Associates and Bob Williamson in particular, made the whole process smooth and easy. I know the employees and our customers are in good hands with Viking Pest Control and that gives me peace of mind. Now I’m looking forward to spending more time with my grandchildren, hitting the golf course and just enjoying life a bit more.”

Viking Pest Control is an Anticimex company providing pest management services across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Acquired by Anticimex in 2017, Viking continues to operate under its own name while combining decades of local expertise with advanced, environmentally conscious pest control solutions.

Cetane served as the sole arranger to B.J. Riley Pest Control. Cetane advised on the sale, including an initial valuation opinion, marketing the business through a confidential process, assisting in negotiating the final deal terms and coordinating the due diligence process. Team members Bob Williamson, Duncan McMurchie, Dalton Brooks and Nick Stein managed the transaction.
