Minneapolis, Minn.-based Plunkett’s Pest Control acquired Central Michigan Pest & Wildlife Management, a locally owned and operated company based in Coleman, Mich. The acquisition marks another step in Plunkett’s continued expansion across the Midwest and strengthens its footprint in the Michigan market.

Founded in 2017 by U.S. Navy veteran Bob Andrews and his wife, Deb, Central Michigan Pest & Wildlife Management has served the mid-Michigan region.

“As we step into retirement, we feel confident knowing our clients will be in great hands with Plunkett’s,” Bob and Deb Andrews said in a joint statement. “We’ve heard nothing but good things and appreciate that they’re family-owned, just like we are. It’s a great fit, and we’re excited for what’s next for our customers.”

Aly Silva Mulgrew, president of Plunkett’s Pest Control, echoed their sentiments and stated, “We’re honored to welcome Central Michigan Pest & Wildlife Management to the Plunkett’s family. Bob and Deb Andrews built a company rooted in exceptional customer service and a hands-on, knowledgeable approach to pest and wildlife management — values that align perfectly with our own. We’re proud to carry their legacy forward.”

Voice for Pest, an artificial intelligence-powered phone system provider for the pest and lawn care industry, and Applause, a software as a service (SaaS) platform to improve customer service, hit a new milestone in their ongoing partnership. A new integration will empower office team members to drive customer engagement directly from their call flow.

“At Voice for Pest, we’re committed to building tools that don’t just support the office team but elevate them. This integration with Applause is a game-changer for customer engagement,“ said Thomas Welsh, founder and CEO of Voice for Pest. “By connecting the call experience directly to real-time feedback and recognition, we’re helping pest and lawn care businesses turn every conversation into an opportunity to strengthen customer relationships.”

With this enhanced integration, office staff can now select a call disposition immediately after a call within Voice for Pest’s Phone System. This will automatically trigger net promoter score surveys, review requests and more in Applause based on the call’s outcome. This integration will allow field technicians and office employees to contribute to enhancing and managing customer relationships.

“This integration gives office teams a clearer role in the customer journey and a chance to be recognized for it,” said Chris Anderson, co-founder and vice president of sales for Applause. “It’s a simple way to make their work more visible and more connected to the success of the business.”

A webinar is set for July, where leaders from Voice for Pest and Applause will dive deeper into how the integration works, share industry insight and answer live questions.
