The Global Pest Management Conference (GPMC) 2025, hosted by DFortune Pest Solutions Limited under the leadership of PCO Ayodeji Oluleye (Dfortune), took place on July 24, 2025, at the Marriott Hotel, Ikeja GRA, Lagos State.

With the theme “Advancing Public Health Through Sustainable Pest and Vector Management Practices”, the event welcomed over 300 delegates, including government officials, international experts, academics and members of the Pest Control Association of Nigeria (PECAN).
Highlights included a high-level panel featuring experts from the USA, UAE, China, South Korea and Nigeria, as well as keynote sessions addressing malaria elimination, pest risk management, vector-borne diseases and sustainable agrochemical solutions. The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi, reaffirmed the state’s commitment to malaria control through digital tracking tools and public-private partnerships.
The 2025 edition of the Global Pest Management Conference featured a diverse program of keynote sessions, workshops, masterclasses, panel discussions, networking events, exhibitions and business forums. Each segment was designed to bring innovation, practical solutions and collaborative strategies to the forefront of pest and vector management.
Awards of recognition were presented to Mr. Seyi Tinubu, Professor Akin Abayomi, and Professor Adetoun Mustapha for their contributions to environmental health and pest control. Closing remarks emphasized professionalism in pest management and stronger regulation through PECAN.
Building on the success of 2025, the Global Pest Management Conference 2026 will introduce more interactive and specialized formats to make learning and networking even more impactful.
