After more than 30 years of leadership in the pest management industry, Kevin Lemasters, executive coach and founder of Action Leadership, has officially launched the PCO Leader Academy—a “train the trainer” leadership development program built specifically for the industry.

The PCO Leader Academy was created to fill a long-standing gap in the industry. While most companies invest heavily in technical training for technicians and administrative staff, leadership development for managers and emerging leaders has been largely overlooked. This 18-month program provides a structured pathway to develop confident, people-focused leaders who can build stronger cultures, retain top talent and drive long-term growth.

Lemasters said in a release, “Too often, companies settle for good managers when what they really need are great leaders. Good managers get results. Great leaders bring out the best in people and when you create a culture that invests in leadership, employees stay, customers stay and businesses thrive.”

Through a weekly cadence of weekly micro lessons, interactive workbooks and monthly cohort coaching sessions, PCO Leader Academy equips participants to not only grow personally but also to train and mentor others in their organizations. The program covers critical areas such as:

• Creating a culture of leadership
• Building clarity through vision, mission and values
• Developing self-awareness and emotional intelligence
• Mastering communication across generations
• Leading teams with influence, not just authority
• Core management skills including time, conflict and change management
• Understanding financial drivers to make better business decisions

The Academy is designed as a “train the trainer” model, enabling graduates to cascade leadership principles throughout their organizations. Companies who complete the program not only strengthen their immediate leadership pipeline but also build a sustainable culture of growth that endures.

“Leadership development is no longer optional,” said Lemasters. “If we want to attract and keep the best talent, we must grow leaders at every level of our organizations. That’s the heart of PCO Leader Academy.”

Enrollment is now open, with Cohorts launching in January 2026.
