BASF SC LogoHelp boost customer satisfaction (and your bottom line) with BASF perimeter products

There are many factors for PMPs to consider when developing the most effective perimeter pest treatment protocols for their customers. To help achieve the best results, BASF has developed multiple products that include different modes of action, have flexible labels, are long lasting, and increase efficacy and productivity. Such product features can help gain – and then retain – satisfied customers, which in turn can boost your company’s bottom line.

Pest control doesn’t start with the product application. It begins with the first phone call from the property owner. From that moment on, the pest management company’s team works to ensure customer satisfaction. From the customer service representative who takes the initial call, to the pest control technician in the field, communication is key to understanding the customer’s needs and to ensuring the best pest management strategy is in place.

Whether it’s for customers on bi-monthly, quarterly, or one-time services, BASF offers perimeter pest solutions that may help reduce callbacks when used according to label directions. Multiple products are also labeled for indoor use and commercial kitchens, which offers flexibility of use.

Let’s start with Alpine® WSG water soluble granule insecticide with the active ingredient dinotefuran, which is a non-pyrethroid, non-repellent active ingredient with horizontal transfer effect. Alpine WSG water soluble granule insecticide can be used inside and outside, even off-structure. It’s also approved for use in food handling areas and is an excellent choice for ants, German cockroaches, bed bugs, fleas, brown marmorated stink bugs, kudzu bugs, house flies, and more. Alpine WSG water soluble granule insecticide is easy-to-mix, odorless, goes on clear after mixing with water, and has a flexible label that allows for broadcast surface applications both on the structure and on lawns. Products like Alpine WSG and other non-repellents are best used when pests are active.

Fendona® CS controlled-release insecticide offers long-lasting protection against selected, labeled pests. It contains the active ingredient alpha-cypermethrin, which was developed by selecting and purifying the most active isomers and has proven to be more powerful than cypermethrin and cyfluthrin. The active ingredient is protected inside its unique, micro-mesh encapsulation, making it ready to get down to business. This advanced, highly active pyrethroid works quickly and continues to kill for months, providing effective protection against a broad range of perimeter pests.

When a more targeted application is needed, PT® Fendona pressurized insecticide offers PMPs a precision tool for quickly knocking down key pests; it is labeled for 60 arthropod pests and 65+ use sites, including residential and outdoor areas as well as food-handling establishments. PT Fendona pressurized insecticide is also compatible with the System III® Applicator for the ultimate in precision and professionalism. Other PT brands in the BASF aerosol portfolio can meet just about any challenge, whether the situation calls for a contact, non-repellent or repellent. Products like Fendona insecticides are best used as “leave behind” applications, as PMPs can take full advantage of their long-lasting residual activity against certain pests.

For more than 20 years, Termidor® termiticide/insecticide, with the active ingredient fipronil, has been the world’s leading termiticide brand. But did you know one of the earliest Termidor termiticide innovations, Termidor SC termiticide/insecticide, has proven to be the leading ant control solution in the U.S.? It’s also ideal for use on the structure for other, labeled outdoor pests including wasps, spiders, and more. Outdoors, PMPs may apply Termidor SC termiticide/insecticide up to four times a year, with the goal of using the product when pests are most active. This becomes more important when dealing with ants, as this will facilitate the Genuine Transfer Effect of the product.

BASF has a range of other products, including granular baits and foam formulations, that can help build versatile, strong perimeter treatment protocols. In addition, highly prolific pests are prone to develop insecticide resistance with improper use of certain insecticides. To guard against insecticide resistance, it’s important to rotate products with different modes of action. For that level of rotation, you can depend on the breadth of solutions offered by BASF to create a solid foundation for insecticide resistance management.
