An urban entomologist and 12-year professor, Dr. Romero has conducted research on reemerging bed bugs, resulting in applied research that has significantly contributed to the improved management of this public health pest. He earned a degree in veterinary medicine from the National University of Colombia, a master’s degree in veterinary entomology from Kansas State University, a doctorate in urban entomology from the University of Kentucky and postdoctoral studies in urban entomology from North Carolina State University.
