Hardyston, N.J.-based Web-Cote Industries earned a national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council Metro NY, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
Susan Masciarelli, president and CEO of Web-Cote industries, said, “We pursued WBENC Certification for several reasons, but most importantly to strengthen our competitive edge to win contracts with supplier-diversity customers and government programs, gain access to the full network of WBENC businesses and resources, and to build partnerships that both empower our growth and support the growth of other women-owned businesses.”

The WBENC standard of certification implemented by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council Metro NY is a meticulous process, including an in-depth review of the business and a site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm that the business is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or women.
WBENC certification positions Web-Cote to compete for supplier diversity contracts that many corporations and government agencies specifically set aside for women-owned businesses. Web-Cote gains access to new corporate partnerships through WBENC’s network of 500+ corporate members, leading to potential for expanded product lines, improved pricing structures or enhanced service offerings.
