When ant identification and management is difficult, it’s not nonsense – it’s node-sense! This talk will take attendees through some key ant identification strategies (particularly those hidden nodes), that will help PMPs in the field with the first – and arguably most important step of integrated pest management (IPM). Then, once we get identification straight, we will move into different treatment strategies to maximize ant control around structures and beyond.

Continuing education units (CEUs) will be available for states pending approval. States will be added updated on a regular basis. CEU credit is only available if you attended the live presentation.

Dr. Brittany Campbell has over 12 years of experience in the pest control industry. She was previously the Director of Technical Services for the National Pest Management Association, representing pest control companies in the United States and internationally. Dr. Campbell has extensive experience in research, insecticide resistance, and insect biology, especially bed bugs. In addition, she is passionate about pest control education, training and stewardship. She completed her master’s degree at Virginia Tech and Ph.D. at the University of Florida, with a focus in urban entomology for both programs. In addition, she holds her Board Certified Entomologist certification with the Entomological Society of America.
