ORLANDO, FL—During the International Reception that took place at the National Pest Management Association’s (NPMA’s) annual PestWorld event last month in Orlando, a new award was given to three deserving individuals: Alberto Ponjoan of Spain, Robert Fryatt of the United Kingdom and PMP Hall of Famer Norm Cooper.
Fryatt, a former director general of the Confederation of European Pest Management Associations (CEPA), is founder of Xenex Associates.
Ponjoan, CEO of Servicios Depec, is a past president of both the Catalonian and Spanish industry associations, as well a director on the CEPA Board.
Cooper, former owner of ESCO and a past NPMA president who helped brand the association as “Guardians of the Environment” in the early 1990s, is still active today as a consultant with Norman Cooper & Associates.
Sponsored by Univar, the Global Ambassador Award is designed to recognize NPMA members who have distinguished themselves through organizing and implementing a wide range of programs and activities in their country that serve and support the pest management industry; contribute to education, and/or coincide with and support the programs and goals of NPMA.
