ANNAPOLIS, MD—PMP Technical Editor Dr. Stuart Mitchell, BCE, has been appointed Chair of the Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE) Support Committee for the Entomological Society of America (ESA). The ESA Certification Board Director appoints the Chairperson. The initial term of service is three years.
Forrest St. Aubin, BCE-Emeritus, has previously and dutifully served as the ACE Chair for several years.
“The ACE program owes much of its success to Mr. St. Aubin, who was recently elected to become the 2015 Director of the Certification Board. He is currently Director Elect,” notes Chris Stelzig, director of strategic initiatives for ESA.
Launched in May 2004, the ESA offers the ACE certification program as a professional credentialing option geared specifically toward the pest management industry. The program is for those who are permanent residents of the United States and hold a current applicator’s license. For those who are not permanent U.S. residents, there is an ACE International program, for which Dr. Zia Siddiqi, BCE, currently serves as Chair of ACE International Support Committee.
