The road to Washington D.C.

Legislative Day 2015WASHINGTON—The run-up to the run up Capitol Hill is underway as the industry prepares for the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) Legislative Day, March 15-17 in Washington. The annual event, presented by the NPMA, will be more interactive and accessible than ever this year.

The NPMA has developed a free NPMA Events app that can be downloaded to any iPhone, iPad or Android device. Once installed, users will have instant access to the full event schedule and a customizable agenda. Senate appointment schedules, detailed information about event speakers, social sharing and important updates and notifications will also be delivered through the app, which can be downloaded from the iTunes store or Play store (Search: NPMA Events). Blackberry and Windows users may access the web version of the app at Crowd.cc/legislative2015.

Because there’s so much packed into the three-day event, it’s not always possible for attendees to make time for everything Legislative Day has to offer. That’s why the NPMA is making all Legislative Day presentations accessible at NPMAPestworld.org/evets/conferenceProceedings. To gain access, you must enter the password LD2015 when prompted.

Also this year, the NPMA will be raffling 5 new Apple Watches for the Pest Pac. Contributions of $100 enter you for a chance to win one of the new watches. (There’s no limit on the number of entries, so have those checkbooks ready.) A link to the Pest Pac contribution site can be found here: Event.crowdcompass.com/legislative2015.

I’m looking forward to Legislative Day with hopes of reconnecting with familiar faces as well as meeting some new friends. If you see a Pest Management Professional magazine representative in D.C., be sure to step up and say hello.

See you Sunday!
