Nestle Cereals created a 10 ft. long caterpillar from whole grain breakfast cereal and is taking it on tour in the United Kingdom, reports Field Marketing & Brand Experience. The reason for the insect-related promotion? Company research of parents with children aged 2 to 10 years revealed 37 percent of kids ate bugs (presumably while playing outside), whereas 66 percent turned up their noses when offered veggies. The promotion is designed to show kids “there is an easier way to get a whole bowl of vitamins than eating a creepy crawly.” Check out the crunchy caterpillar here.
