The number of Africanized bees in Arizona has increased significantly over the past 20 years, Arizona Public Media reports. Mild temperatures and plenty of rain resulted in a “bumper crop of wildflowers.” Now the bees are out and about, on the lookout for places to establish their colonies. They can “breed and flourish inside attics, walls and other suitable man-made habitats,” the article warns, so residents are advised to seek expert help. Check out the story here.
