Turns out taking your bees for a ride in the car is not illegal if you live in Montana. Driving all over the road because the bees are out of control will earn you a ticket for careless driving, however. United Press International reports the Montana Highway Patrol pulled over a driver after someone called in “a vehicle driving all over the road.” When officers pulled over the car, they discovered bees from five hives flying around inside. The bees were “‘harmless’ Russian honey bees,” the driver replied when questioned by police. No word on where they were headed. The art museum, perhaps?
