Tah-dah! Welcome to PMP’s first official blog entry on PestTalk.net. We’re pretty excited about it because now we have a new way to communicate with our readership that offers a little more interaction and timeliness, than any monthly magazine can provide, with several updates each week. You’ll find a different style of content here than you might be used to from reading our print mag, but the quality of information and entertainment (Editorial director, Marty Whitford, is a huge fan of the term infotainment.) will remain intact. We’ll tackle the tough newsy topics but also make time for lighter fare designed to appeal specifically to our readership: pest management professionals who like to stay informed.
I have lots of ideas for upcoming blog topics that I can’t wait to share and there’s never any shortage of industry related news to discuss and highlight. In fact, if there’s something you’d like to read about in this collection of virtual pages, all you have to do is let us know … and the best way to do that is to contact me directly at wnepper@northcoastmedia.net.
Though we have a clear mission in mind, we will still look to you for guidance and feedback. You’ll play an important role in the future of the blog as you help us fine-tune its content and style. You might even want to go as far as offering up a blog entry of your own as a guest blogger. Think you have something worth sharing with your peers? Let us know. Naturally, some guidelines will apply (appropriateness, no blatant self promotion, etc.) but for the most part, there are no hard fast rules to dictate what can appear here.
Did I mention our expert guest bloggers? — Because there’ll be plenty of them too. PMP columnists (look for an entry by the great Doc Mitchell very soon), industry experts and other rock stars of the pest management profession.
Like I said, we’re excited about it. Now, I hope you are too. See you next time!
