Spider control involves using the principles of integrated pest management (IPM), which includes sanitation, such as removing spider webbing and insects as potential food sources. It also includes mechanical measures, such as making sure doors and windows seal properly to prevent spider and insect entry. Additionally, it’s important to ensure any lighting that remains on at night around the outside of the house is the correct color (yellow vs. blue) to attract fewer insects to the spider for food.
