The spiders encountered in homes and businesses are typically hunters or trappers, capturing live insects for food. Hunting spiders seek their prey (mostly crawling insects) by running them down or ambush. By contrast, trappers construct webs to catch flying insects passively.
Spiders in or around your customer’s structure indicate live insects are there as well. They might not be the common insect pests normally targeted — and could be very small, often going unnoticed. Knowing your spiders will help you target the crawling or flying insects that are making the structure conducive to infestation, an important element of spider control.
