On Sept. 8, Angie’s List launched its “Work with the Best” sweepstakes, rewarding current and newly registered service providers with opportunities to win one of four monthly drawings for DeWalt tool kits and a grand prize of a 2017 work truck.
The sweepstakes comes shortly after the launch of the company’s “freemium” tier, which allows consumers to access more than 10 million of the verified reviews for home service professionals free of charge.
Since the launch in July, Angie’s List has seen an uptick in new member sign-ups and the activity level of members overall. Membership growth nearly quadrupled; site-visits grew by almost 170 percent and views of service providers’ profiles nearly doubled, the company says.
“Angie’s List has always been a strong supporter of small business, and we want to bring our ever-expanding toolkit to more and more contractors so we can help their business grow,” says Bob Owens, senior director of B2B Marketing at Angie’s List.
Service providers with completed profiles on Angie’s List are better positioned for growth than those that do not participate, the company says. Registration is free, and enables contractors to manage their reputation by monitoring and responding to reviews, customize their profile to better showcase offerings and expertise and access business tools designed to help them grow.
Winners of the monthly tools prizes, valued at $3,500 each, will be announced in the months of October, November, December 2016 and January 2017. The grand prize winner of the 2017 work truck, valued at $45,000, will be announced in mid-January 2017.
There is no fee to enter the “Work with the Best” sweepstakes. Contractors that have not yet registered on the site are eligible to enter, as well as those that already have reviews on Angie’s List, or have already registered.
