Ask these 4 questions when controlling ants

In ant control, one size does not fit all. Proper identification of the species can help determine the best method of control. Consider these questions:

• If using bait, which formulation will have the best efficacy against the species?
• Will bait be sufficient, or should you use it in conjunction with a liquid application?
• If liquid applications are more effective for the species, should you use a repellent or non-repellent?
• What type of liquid formulation should you use (wettable powder, microencapsulated, water-dispersible granule, etc.)?
