You may have noticed that our cover image is a bit of a departure from the norm. Our cover story is an even bigger departure from our industry interviews, statistics and analysis upon which you’ve come to rely month after month. Rather, it chronicles an adventure of one William “Crawley” McPherson, a technician who solves pest problems in spite of his bumbling manner, in a sweet way that’s quite Barney Fifesque. He is helped along by the lovely and talented MJ O’Donnell, and often gets the credit for his discoveries stolen by the otherwise goodhearted Jack Blackwell.

Crawley’s exploits are ideal to use as the basis of technical training with your techs, as he often thinks outside the box to arrive at the proper identification and solution.

Created by Pest Management Professional (PMP) Hall of Famer Dr. Jerome Goddard, Crawley is well within the realm of PMP’s mission statement of curating “infotainment” for our readers. This is the first installment of Crawley’s adventures, and we plan to continue his saga in the February issue and beyond. We are excited to present solid information about identifying, controlling and preventing pests in such a humorous, engaging manner. Welcome to the PMP family, Crawley!
