While occasional invaders can’t survive indoors for long periods of time, they can still cause considerable customer woes. A three-step approach to prevention is key:

  1. Survey the structure for possible entry routes, and seal them with appropriate materials. From inside, keep exterior doors closed and look underneath them for any signs of daylight. This is a common route of entry and can be resolved with the installation of a new door sweep.
  2. Modify moist habitats adjacent to the structure where invaders may breed.
  3. Make preventive applications with long-lasting residual sprays and baits labeled for the target pests.
