Baiting for German cockroaches is common within most integrated pest management plans, but it must be thoroughly understood before it can be implemented.

For the best long-term results, rotate multiple cockroach gel baits with different active ingredients to help prevent physiological resistance. The average life cycle of a German cockroach is three months, so it is recommended that products be rotated every three months to match this cycle. Refer to the Insecticide Resistance Action Committee (IRAC) designation for each active ingredient to ensure you are using cockroach gel baits with different modes of action.
