The Illinois Pest Control Association’s (IPCA’s) annual Fall Conference will take place Sept. 17-18 in Springfield, Ill.
The conference offers pest management professionals (PMPs) the opportunity to network with industry experts and learn about the latest topics covering the pest control industry.
PMPs can also earn CEU credits for Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Michigan.
Some of the topics that will be covered at the IPCA Fall Conference include best business practices, rodents and stinging pests:
- The Great Fleet Debate – Lease or buy? Wrap or paint? What is the best safety-related technology for vehicles that gives you the best return on your investment?
- Pest Control and Public Health: Partners for the Good of All – Pest control and public health are intricately entwined, both in historical development and current applications. This session will examine the brief histories of these two disciplines and define clearly what the dimensions of both are.
- Taking the Sting Out of Stinging Pests – Stinging insects present many unique problems to PMPs and homeowners alike. The difficulty in controlling social insects is compounded by the public health concerns posed by stinging insects.
The IPCA’s Industry Appreciation Reception is set for the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 17. This networking reception is included in the conference registration and is open to members and non-members of the IPCA.
