Modern Pest Services, an Anticimex company, has purchased Premier Pest Control of South Hadley, Mass.
This is Modern Pest Services’s latest acquisition in New England and allows the company to expand services in western Massachusetts and open a new branch in Springfield. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Premier Pest Control is a local, family-owned and -operated company, that provides pest control and termite treatment services to Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin, and Worcester counties in Massachusetts.
Founders Guy and Darlene George started Premier Pest Control in 1996. The company has achieved 24 years of consecutive growth with both commercial and residential clients. The Georges’ will continue on with the company. Guy will serve as branch manager and Darlene as the branch administration manager for the newly-created Springfield branch.
Ten full-time technicians from Premier Pest Control, with over 60 years of combined experience, will be joining Modern Pest Services.
“Although we just had another record year, Darlene and I realized that we have taken Premier Pest Control just about as far as we could,” said Guy George, ACE. “We are extremely excited for our staff and for the personal and professional opportunities that Modern Pest Services will offer our employees.”
Based in Brunswick, Maine, Modern Pest was founded in 1945. This is company’s ninth acquisition since joining Anticimex in 2017.
