Control cockroaches with dust formulations

As we evolve in how we perform cockroach applications, dust formulations have become a lost art for interior treatments for many pest management professionals. This is possibly due to the horror stories of customers blanketing every inch of their homes, or maybe just because more products are available in different forms.

When applied properly, though, dust formulations can still provide some of the best residual control for sites prone to cockroach infestations. Dusts also can provide easy, low-cost applications, with low to no odor.

For maximum results, apply dust lightly to take advantage of air flow carrying the product throughout the voids. Make sure the dust applicator is no more than half full, to allow air movement to pick up the dust. It’s always a good idea to have a damp cloth to remove any excess that may have been outside of the void.
