PWIPM of New England presents award

Last month, the Professional Women in Pest Management (PWIPM) of New England awarded its inaugural Women of Excellence Award. The winner was Julie Heincelman, ACE, of JP Pest Services in Milford, N.H.

Heincelman has worked for JP Pest Services for 12 years, and has moved through various positions during this time. She has been a commercial service technician; a food and pharmaceutical account support specialist; an area manager; and most recently, a territory manager. In 2017, Heincelman was awarded Employee of the Year at JP Pest Services.

Heincelman is very involved in the PWIPM of New England. From 2009-16, she was an active volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician (EMT) with the Lee Fire and Rescue Department, where she received the status of lieutenant in 2014.

“Julie is the type of employee any company would love to have,” notes her manager, Brian Leahy. “Her determination and work ethic set the high standard. The fact the Julie has chosen to work in our industry is a blessing; her involvement raises the bar of professional pest control. I am proud to work alongside Julie and learn from her each day.”

Twenty-five percent of JP Pest Services employees are women. On JP Pest Services website, there is profile on Heincelman. She says, “One of the things that I value most about my company and position, is the relationships that we build with our customers. I find satisfaction in being able to not only solve pest issues, but also to be a resource for our customers.”
