Are you ready to control some of summer’s most active pests? Here are three summer tips for fly, flea and tick control:

1. Sanitation plays a key role in providing effective control of ticks and flies. Encourage clients to maintain their yards, to prevent ticks from seeking harborage on tall grasses or under piles of leaves. Clients also should make sure all trash cans are tightly sealed to make them less appealing to flies.

2. Keep an eye out for signs of animals burrowing in your clients’ yards. Animals can carry and attract insects like fleas from yard to yard. If you have multiple sightings of wild animals or their droppings, there’s a high chance that a flea-infested burrow is not too far away.

3. Consider offering a green pest control product. Essential oil-based, botanical pest control products can provide immediate knockdown of backyard pests, and are easy to use on bushes, shrubs, patio furniture and play equipment.
