Just a week after announcing its partnership with the American Heart Association’s (AHA’s) Triad and Iredell County offices for the Go Red For Women campaign, Greensboro, N.C.-based Go-Forth Pest Control is teaming up with the AHA on an additional project: to provide a free “Workplace Wellness” seminar series for local employers across the region. Because of the online nature of the three-part series, it is available to the public across the country. In fact, the Go-Forth team encourages pest management colleagues to take a look and see how it could change their own businesses for the better.
“Our motivation to partner with the AHA was spurred by a recent company-wide survey that revealed strong interest in an Employee Wellness Program, offering guidance on self-care and healthy living habits,” says Leah Hazelwood, co-owner of Go-Forth and a member of the Triad Go Red Executive Leadership Team. “We feel that this Workplace Wellness series will help show our team, and hopefully help other employers show their teams, that we’re listening to employees’ priorities, and that employee health is very important to us.”
The first seminar of the series, titled “Mental Health Matters,” will feature local health and wellness experts and provide education, guidance and resources for anxiety and stress, coping skills, and self-care. This first event will take place Tuesday, Feb. 23 from noon to 1 p.m. Eastern time. Registrants may attend live and receive a recording of the event to watch at a later time.
