For mosquito control, the old adage of “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” comes to mind. The way we maintain, repair and use our mosquito control equipment is one of the biggest and best illustrations of that.

Use downtime to inspect, repair, adjust and replace the various pieces and parts of spray rigs, misters and other application equipment. Customers notice the darnedest things, and trust me, there are those who notice poorly maintained equipment.

As pest management professionals, we’re called because we’re supposed to have all the tricks, right? Well, yes — but it’s not tricks, its knowledge. It’s understanding the target pest, and in this case the mosquito’s biology, habits and domain, to treat in ways and manners that make their lairs lethal places in which to hang out.

With well-maintained equipment and mosquito knowledge, your end results always will be positive.
