Don’t forget that stored product pest infestations can occur when stock or shipments from different locations are co-mingled at processing facilities. It often can be easy for pests to jump from one pallet to another. Quarantining incoming or vulnerable shipments using a pest boundary roll can help mitigate this risk. Using an adhesive-based tool to create a physical barrier around the stock can reduce the jump from one shipment to another.

Also, remember that pests can come from the outside. Perform a thorough inspection of the facility and use your integrated pest management (IPM) principles to reduce any conducive conditions, such as sealing foundation cracks and addressing doorway gaps.
