Control Solutions Inc. (CSI) announced that Dr. Brittany Campbell, BCE, will join the CSI Pest team as the newest technical manager.

Dr. Campbell has over 11 years of experience in the pest control industry. Most recently, she was the director of technical services for a national association representing pest control companies. Dr. Campbell has extensive experience in research, insecticide resistance and insect biology, especially bed bugs.

In addition, she is passionate about pest control education, training and stewardship. She is a member of the Entomological Society of America and Pi Chi Omega, a fraternity for pest management professionals.

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology, she worked as a research assistant at the University of Georgia Marine Institute studying insects in salt marshes. That experience led her to go back to school for a graduate degree in entomology. Dr. Campbell completed her master’s degree at Virginia Tech and Ph.D. at the University of Florida, with a focus in urban entomology for both programs. Additionally, she holds her Board-Certified Entomologist (BCE) certification with the Entomological Society of America.

Dr. Campbell is a dog lover and has two dogs that keep her extremely busy. She loves outdoor activities such as hiking, rafting, camping and kayaking. She also enjoys traveling, “especially if there is a great national park to visit and a new insect to see.”
