Pest Management Professional’s (PMP’s) Growth Summit is unlike any other event in the industry: For two-and-a-half days, leaders from nearly three dozen pest control companies with revenue of $1 million or more met at the Reunion Resort & Golf Club located near Orlando, Fla. Over those 60 or so hours, the amount of networking and idea sharing is second to none — par for the course since 2017’s inaugural event.
The 2024 PMP Growth Summit kicked off Wednesday afternoon with Meet the Partners presentations, where service and supplier partners each were given time to briefly explain who they are and what they offer. This year was especially exciting for attendees because PelGar USA’s Andrej Branc debuted the company’s new Roban Gold Entrap monitoring gels and a new bait station — weeks before other pest management professionals (PMPs) would be able to see them.
On both Thursday and Friday mornings, attendees engaged in the Roundtable Breakfasts. With topics ranging from bed bugs to hiring to social media, everyone gathered in groups to share their pain points and successes, collecting strategies to try back at the office.
Immediately after breakfast, each attendee followed his or her individual schedule of meetings with each of the 14 partners. Again, the interactions were candid, with partners tailoring their conversations in advance because they knew the background of each attendee — whether it was someone who never used their offerings or one of their biggest clients. We hear time and again from suppliers past and present that the chance to speak with individual companies away from the hubbub of site visits or a trade show floor is invaluable.
Attendees and partners also had time for fun. A golf scramble — and a miniature golf tournament for the non-duffers in the group — took place Thursday afternoon in gorgeous weather. In the evening, Wednesday’s opening reception and Thursday’s barbecue dinner kept the conversations flowing.
PMP is proud to put on this exclusive, highly anticipated event year after year, and we already are making plans for the next one in Spring 2025. If you qualify, visit our PMP Growth Summit page to learn how to submit an attendee application.
