June 20, 2024

Cetane Associates, a New Milford, Conn.-based financial advisory and transaction firm providing mergers and acquisitions (M&A) expertise to the home services industries, announces that Orkin Pest Control, a subsidiary of Rollins Inc., has acquired Environmental Pest Control Inc. (EPCI). The transaction was completed in March 2024.

Owner Mark Lee founded Grayling, Mich.-based EPCI in 1985.

“Cetane did a remarkable job from start to finish,” Lee said in the Cetane news release. “With the transition to Orkin, EPCI’s customers will continue to receive the same great service they’ve enjoyed for years.”

Through its family of leading pest control brands, Atlanta, Ga.-based Rollins is a global leader in the pest control industry.

“We are delighted to welcome EPCI to Orkin,” Matt Whiting, Rollins Vice President of Corporate Development, said in the news release. “Their local standing and loyal customers are valuable enhancements to our operations in Michigan. Ensuring the continued satisfaction of their customers will be our top priority for years to come.”

Added Bob Williamson, Cetane Associates’s Pest & Lawn director and a Pest Management Professional online columnist, “We’re glad to have worked with Mark to successfully complete this transaction. Congratulations to him for the hard work he put into building a solid and valuable business based on excellent service.”

Cetane served as the sole arranger for Enviro-Safe Pest Control. Cetane advised on the sale, including an initial valuation opinion, marketing the business through a confidential process, assisting in negotiating the final deal terms, and coordinating the due diligence process. Team members Williamson, Griffin Sharp, Trey Brasseaux and Dalton Brooks managed the transaction.
