Moyer & Son of Souderton, Pa., recently completed the acquisition of Rid-Et Pest Control of Nazareth, Pa. Cetane Associates, a New Milford, Conn.-based financial advisory and transaction firm providing mergers and acquisitions (M&A) expertise to the home services industries, managed the transaction.
“We sincerely appreciate the trust that Rid-Et placed in the Cetane team to manage their transaction,” said Bob Williamson, Cetane Associates’ pest & lawn director and a Pest Management Professional online columnist. ”Ron Mahorsky built an outstanding company, and it was a true pleasure working with him throughout the process. We wish him nothing but the best in all his future endeavors.”
Mahorsky, owner of Rid-Et, has dedicated nearly 60 years to the pest control industry. His journey began in the 1960s when he started working at Rid-Et Company, which primarily offered sanitation services. In 1975, Mahorsky purchased the company and rebranded it as Rid-Et Pest Control. Under his leadership, the business expanded into a full-service pest management provider, operating with 10 vehicles and eight employees.
“Our commitment to providing exceptional service to our customers has always been our top priority. We’re confident that Moyer will continue to maintain those same high standards,” Mahorsky said. ”I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the exceptional team at Cetane Associates for their invaluable guidance and outstanding results.”
Founded in 1869, Moyer & Son has evolved into a diversified residential and commercial services company, serving customers across Southeastern Pennsylvania and parts of New Jersey and Delaware.
“As a family-owned business, we take great pride in providing excellent service to our customers,” said David Moyer, president of Moyer. “We are excited to welcome Rid-Et customers to the Moyer family and continue delivering top-notch service.”
Cetane served as the sole arranger to Rid-Et Pest Control and advised on the sale, including an initial valuation opinion, marketing the business through a confidential process, assisting in negotiating the final deal terms and coordinating the due diligence process.
