While the end goal typically is to control a fly population, it can be hard to achieve without taking some time to monitor the population first. Through monitoring, we learn so much important information that’s necessary for deciding on a control solution: fly species, the number of flies, where we’re finding them, and what day and time we’re seeing an increase. Whether this is through the assistance of a remote, artificial intelligence (AI)-driven ILT, a traditional ILT, sticky traps or personnel observations, every bit of information helps guide us to stronger decisions.

Flies are challenging because the juvenile stages often are physically far from the adult stages. Use your adult monitoring tools to help reduce the number of places you need to look for the juvenile stages. You’ll find your inspection is more efficient, and the issue is resolved faster — often before it affects the customer.
