The study, which analyzed more than 500,000 tweets mentioning the word “mosquito” was meant to determine where most of the mosquito-centric Tweets are coming from. The cities, in order of most to least tweets, are: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston and Atlanta.

More discoveries from the Terminix/Twitter study include:

-If the cities were ranked per capita, Glasgow, Mont., would come in at No. 1, followed by Kingsville, Texas; Key West, Fla., Aberdeen, S.D.; and Woodward, Okla.

-A majority of the tweets paired the words “mosquito” and “bites,” “outside” or “summer.” Other popular words to accompany mosquito include “kill,” “control,” “GMO” and “Zika.”

-The most-used related hashtags include: #Zika, #ZikaVirus, #Health, #Summer and #Bugs.

-Finally, women tend to send the most mosquito tweets, claiming responsibility for 63 percent of the total counted tweets.
