Ants can be active and invade structures anytime the weather is sufficiently warm. To prevent infestation, try a weatherable granular bait as part of the regular perimeter program. Weatherable bait provides something for ants to take back to the colony between services.
For existing problems, a multipronged approach works best: Imidacloprid granular bait will provide a fast knockdown and should be applied in affected areas. A sweet gel or syrup ant bait should be applied along trails on and/or inside the structure. A nonrepellent also can be applied per the label, and will not interfere with the bait. This multi-pronged approach will help ensure success in one trip and avoid costly callbacks.
